Colonel Oliver B Warman

An alumnus of the Welsh Guards and author of several books and monographs, Oliver Warman taught battlefield history at the British Military Staff College, was former military assistant to the prime minister and has lectured extensively in Europe, the U.K. and the U.S. Oliver Warman is not only the quintessential British officer (retired) and military historian, but also a Renaissance man. A graduate in fine arts, Warman is a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. Warman’s tours are generally limited to just four people and precisely tailored to what the clients want to get out of them. He strongly believes in discussing strategy and tactics teach about the makeup of the armies, “Because some of my people know nothing of history and just want to take pictures. I’ve had people who had no idea that the British and Canadians were involved!”
